I take 4 kids who are heavily involved with sports. I do 4-5 loads of laundry a day and love the Kirkland brand detergent from Costco (I apply the HE variety). Information technology's inexpensive and works great!

This Eco Friendly Laundry Lather Left Residue In My Washer Tub
by SR101 Reader
SR101 Reader says:
I just purchased and used Kirkland Environmentally Responsible Laundry Detergent. It left a greasy remainder band around my washer tub.
This does non make me feel confident in using this production because if there is residue around my washer tub so there is residue in the clothes and bedding as well.
I will become dorsum to Arm & Hammer detergent which does not exit any rest in my washer.
Taylor says:
Thanks for sharing your experience with me.
I am wondering, has anyone else experienced this problem when using this detergent? I'd dear to hear your experience expert or bad. You can share your laundry detergent review here for this or whatsoever other brand, telling me what y'all like, or don't, most information technology and why.

Makes My Fabrics Odour - Switching Dorsum To Erstwhile Brand
by One thousand Brierley
(BC, Canada)
This detergent makes all my polyester blends smell like musty bread and wet dog (combined). It is literally making me sick.
It may be partly a reaction the detergent is having with the fabric (yikes!) in combo with the soft water here, in whatsoever instance, I'k definitely switching back to Ecos' make "magnolia and lily" scented detergent.
I don't know why we e'er switched, that stuff is great!

My Gratuitous & Articulate Costco Detergent Has Been Replaced With This "Green" Production
by Bonnir
(California)
Bonnir shared her experience with the environmentally friendly version of Costco's detergent.
Bonnir says:
I've been buying and loving Kirkland Free and Articulate laundry detergent for many years.
Concluding time I went to buy information technology, at my local Torrance CA Costco no longer carried it...they accept changed to a "greenish" Kirkland product which now has a stiff aroma similar to Tide.
I tin't handle the scent, my clothes no longer come out soft and detergent-free, and I have developed a rash.
I don't run into how this can be more environmentally friendly that the Free and Articulate.
I'm taking it back...do not purchase this thinking it's just new packaging and name!
Taylor says:
Sorry to hear about your allergic reaction to laundry detergent Bonnir.
If they no longer carry the free and clear version of the Costco laundry detergent in your Costco, I would suggest trying to find a new hypoallergenic laundry detergent for you and your family. You tin check out my article from the link provided, which gives reviews of diverse brands from other readers so you lot tin can find one that will work well for your whole family.

Kirkland Environmentally Friendly Laundry Detergent Is The Best
by Jenn B
(Henderson, NV)
Jenn has shared what she believes is the best laundry detergent.
Jenn says:
I switched to this detergent about 3 years ago & haven't looked back.
I was hesitant at get-go because most of the Eco-friendly detergents I take tried in the past take not cleaned very well. I accept three Boys so I need a detergent that really gets the grime out & this does non disappoint!
I love the very calorie-free scent considering I easily go headaches from soaps that are too strongly scented.
I too honey the price, $13 for 120 loads is hard to find & when they put out their coupon for $2.50 off, that makes it quite the steal!
Taylor says:
Thanks Jenn for sharing your review of this Kirkland make laundry soap.
In the previous review from Crystal, I said I wasn't able to find out much information about the ingredients of this detergent, to evaluate its claims of being environmentally friendly.
Since and so I've learned more about it. Really, Jenn provided me a link to a page about this detergent, which lead me to find this Costco Connexion Magazine article from August 2008, which discusses this laundry supply, and tells more than well-nigh its eco-friendly characteristics. Information technology says:
These new products feature biodegradable cleaning agents and plant-based formulas; incorporate no phosphates, dyes, optical brighteners or bleaches; are safe for septic systems; and are not animate being tested.
That helps answer some questions nigh whether it is really a green cleaning supply.
The cost of this product is much lower than many other eco-friendly alternatives, which is practiced since information technology can exist expensive if you want to buy something instead of making your own homemade laundry detergent. I'm definitely going to exist checking this Kirkland make out now that I've gotten several positive reviews of it.
Does anyone else want to share their favorite laundry detergent? If and so, you tin share your favorite here.
